Sealed with a Kiss: Valentine's Day Nail Art

Happy Valentine's Day lovelies! Even when I don't have a valentine (which has been most of the years) I still really enjoy this mini-holiday because of all the cute pink stuff that comes into stores this time of year. I mean, c'mon? The adorable heart shaped pink string lights I picked up at Target couldn't be any cuter!

As for my manicure, since I don't have a lot of pink polishes I decided to take some inspiration from the iconic sweetheart candy hearts and replace pink with another pastel that I love.. purple! It also helps that purple and red are fantastic together, and even better when you cover a nail in red, pink, and purple kisses. I used plate BM02 for the kisses, and stamped with China Glaze Harmony, Wet N' Wild Red Red, and OPI Party In My Cabana. The gorgeous red polish is Deborah Lippmann's Footloose, a stunning red orange jelly that is opaque and shiny in two coats. The base for the ring finger is three coats of OPI's Rumple's Wiggin'. The application for Footloose was flawless (seriously I think it's my new favorite red guys), and Rumple's Wiggin' was smoothed out using the topcoat sandwich method.

I didn't want anything too over the top since I wasn't working today. I can't be the only person who saves my really fun nail art ideas for when I'm sure lots of people will see them! It's like I haven't truly worn a manicure unless I can show it off, you know? haha!

What color are you sporting for Valentine's Day today? If you did some nail art, leave a link! Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading!
