China Glaze First Mate

Wednesday is the official half-way day of the week, and I am so excited for this week to be breezing by so quickly! Don't you just love when that happens? Anywho, today's swatch is of China Glaze First Mate, which is a dusty navy blue creme that came out in the 2011 Anchor's Away Collection. Anchors Away was the first collection that I actually really wanted all the polishes in! But I could only afford to pick up a few and First Mate was a definite for me since I don't have many dark blues in my stash.

This swatch is two easy coats, and the opacity and application on this polish are great. There is no base or top coat in my swatch but I strongly recommend base coat with this color because it slightly stained my nails even though I was only swatching it! Crazy! But we all know how blues can be.

What was the first collection you ever wanted to own in it's entirety? Let me know in the comments! I'm kind of feeling that way about the second half of the Halo Hues, but I just can't seem to part with the $40 it costs! Which is ridiculous because I know I'll end up spending $40 over the course of a few weeks on stupid things anyway. hmph. As always, thanks for reading!
