Whew, long time no talk lovelies! I've started a new full time job and haven't really gotten into a good schedule that works well with blogging, but I knew I wanted to get up some nail art for the Fourth of July. There are few things I love more than skittles manicures, and a holiday is a perfect excuse to wear multiple colors and patterns!
I started off with Pure Ice Siren, a gorgeous rich cherry red creme that is a perfect one coater! I rarely wear reds and I actually didn't have a true red creme polish in my collection so I was ecstatic when Pure Ice sent me this lovely shade. Application was a dream and like I said, it's a one coater. I followed up with Pure Ice Superstar on my middle nail for the white. I usually prefer jelly whites as I can never really get white cremes to apply smoothly, but Superstar was an exception. I had no issues getting this white to be opaque and even in just two coats.
Fourth of July nails definitely wouldn't be complete without some sparkle, so I layered Revlon Royal with Shimmer Polish Nichole. I honestly can say I don't think there is a more perfect glitter for the 4th! Nichole is jam packed with a variety of red, silver, and blue glitter that all applies evenly without dragging or having to dab. As someone who bemoans glitter application, I was pretty amazed at the effortless formula on this polish.
To add a bit more of a patriotic flair I stamped over Siren with Sinful Colors Snow Me White and BM-200. The stamp didn't transfer as opaquely as I would have liked but I doubt anyone but me and you all would notice. I topped off my middle nail with some red, white, and blue rhinestones, added topcoat, and called it done!
All of the colors I used were surprisingly easy to clean up with my small brush and acetone, even Revlon Royal. It's definitely be fun flaunting this manicure since I did it last night, and I can't wait to see how it goes over on the fourth! I hope all of my fellow USA-ers have a safe and happy holiday!
What are you wearing on your tips for the fourth? Link me to your manicures in the comments, or let me know what you think of mine! Thanks for reading!
