First Impression: The packaging instantly appeals to me since I chose the pink "Berry Blossom" Fragrance. It's a small oblong or slightly teardrop shaped container that is slim enough to fit easily into a smaller purse or clutch. The snap top design is sealed well and gives a good "click" that assures you it won't pop open and leave your purse filled with lotion. It has a slight depression on the back of the package that gives your index finger an easy place to rest when you're dispensing product. I also like that all of the labels can be easily peeled off leaving just the clean plastic container! I'm not sure why this particular feature appeals to me, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't like sticker or non-printed labels on things. This product definitely has the gel-like consistency of a lotion rather than a thick hand cream. But oh, the scent! To me it smells like a wonderfully fruity floral that's not overwhelming or headache inducing. Just enough fragrance for a slight pick me up but not enough that it will linger for long or distract others with it's scent.
Absorption Rate: The cream took approximately twenty seconds to rub into my hands, and felt completely absorbed within two minutes.
I'm a fan of other EOS products like their shave cream, so I think I might have been a little biased and excited for this particular product. I've picked up and put down other scents of this lotion many a time in the line at ULTA, but it wasn't until I saw the pink "Berry Blossom" scent that I really wanted to own it. I'm not a huge floral scent lover and I'm not wild about cucumber (although I do enjoy it on occasion) but I hope the formula wouldn't vary too much between scents if you wanted to try it out based on my review. I will say that it does require a generous dollop of product for each use since it absorbs so quickly. You have to be fast about getting it to the backs of your hands and your cuticles! As for lasting moisture my hands still didn't feel dry or like I needed more lotion even after two hours of mild activity like typing, petting the dog, eating breakfast, and folding laundry. Despite it's lasting power alone, all the moisture vanishes once you've washed your hands; Don't expect one application to last all day.
Purchase or Pass?: If you love a fun, lightly scented lotion and you need a more compact option to fit into a small purse, give this product a go! It's a great hand lotion to use throughout the day for daytime moisture, but it's not quite heavy or long lasting enough for a nighttime ritual. You're also not getting as much product for your money as some other options, so you'd be buying this lotion because of the scent and appearance rather than value. Either way, I'd purchase this again!
