OPI Funky Dunkey

A couple weeks ago there was quite the hubbub on MUA about Zulily selling some OPI duos, one of which contained the elusive Black Spotted. I was fortunate enough to be able to snag a set which also happily contained another shade I've been lemming after: OPI Funky Dunkey!

Funky Dunkey was released in the spring of 2010 and was part of the Shrek Forever After collection. As a true fan of purple nail polish I'm pleased to report that I'm completely as smitten as I thought I would be with this lovely grape hue. A red-leaning grape purple that's not too dark but not pastel is something unique in my collection, and happens to be a perfect transitioning color to darker polishes for fall.

My swatch is two coats of Funky Dunkey with top and base coat. The first coat was thin while I allowed the second coat to be slightly thicker to increase opacity and self level. Application was good and this polish required very little cleanup thanks to the easy to control formula!

Did you pick up any OPI duos from the Zulily sale? Were there any colors from the Shrek collection that you're still lemming after? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading!
