Sometimes I feel like I should just relinquish my nail blogger card because I very rarely can come up with great layering combinations. Sure, my heart was in the right place with this one... "A soft lilac shimmer? That would look gorgeous over white!".. but it fails to realize on the nail.
Despite my poor layering choice, Dior Perle is a gorgeous lilac-pink (or orchid if you want to feel trendy) shimmering matte coat that adds sheen and sparkle to any shade. This is two coats of Perle over Pure Ice Superstar.
Dior Perle is from the Trianon Spring 2014 Collection and is one of five limited edition nail lacquers. I'm also interested in Porcelaine so I hope to acquire it after my next paycheck. I'm completely in love with the look of Perle layered over Bouquet, but I feel like I could get a similar look if I layered it over Essie Cute As A Button.
Being that this is the first Dior polish I've purchased I'm definitely not giving up on it! I'll be re-swatching it over a dark color and I'll be sure to post my results. I'll be posting the nail art I did over this combination on Thursday, so be sure to check back!
