A Week of Cheek: Cheeky Monkey's Blue Room Ball Buster

It's time for a Week of Cheek to end, and I'm giving it a proper send off with a striking metallic blue! Few colors are as debated in the nail community as blue is, and it's a "love it or leave it" kind of color.

Cheeky Monkey's Blue Room Ball Buster is a medium to dark metallic blue that has a silvery tint and teal and purple micro shimmer in the bottle. My swatch is two coats with base and top coat.

The formula was fairly standard on this polish; Easy enough to control but not outstanding, just satisfactory. It was opaque in two coats and definitely needed both. This would be a perfect polish for someone who wants to wear navy nails but wants them to be navy in all lighting. It definitely won't read black, but it's a nice rich dark blue.

Navy is what I like to refer to as a gateway-blue. It's easy to wear and non polarizing enough to be worn with mild confidence, but it will surely lead you into loving slowly brighter teals, aquas, and royals. If you're nervous about pulling off blue nails, a nice medium navy will ease you into it!

If you've loved reading about Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics this week and you live in southern California, you have the opportunity to check the brand out in person on April 13th. They'll be represented by the founder, Andrea Pahn, at the Nail Pro Pasadena Show. She'll be teaching a class along with providing details about ingredients in nail polish!

Cheeky Monkey nail polishes can be purchased from their website for $15.00 USD. The polishes are 5-free, non-toxic, and cruelty free.

I hope you've enjoyed this introductory week to Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics as much as I have, and I'll see you on Monday with a regular post! I'll leave you with the piece of cheeky wisdom that came with my bottle of Blue Room Ball Buster, and as always thanks for reading!
