Shimmer Polish is a well established indie brand that has a clear and recognizable style. Their polishes are known for their complex glitter mixes that are multi-colored, dimensional, beautiful, and named after women. If you're a true glitter polish fanatic you've got at least one Shimmer Polish color in your collection, and probably more.
Whether you're a fan of chunky mixes or fine mixes there are dozens of colors in the Shimmer Polish range. The color I'll be showing you today is Kim; A mixture of blue, purple, and holographic glitters. The shapes are primarily hexagonal but if my eyes don't deceive me I can make out some small blue squares in the bottle as well. Kim has a clear base which makes it perfect for glitter gradients or layering.
My swatch is three coats of Kim layered in a glitter gradient jelly sandwich with three coats of Revlon Royal. My swatch is shown with base and top coat.
The formula for Kim was beautifully easy to work with, as have been the other polishes by this brand that I own. The glitters disperse evenly without any fishing, and the base is always smooth and not too thick or thin.
What do you think of this polish? Do you have any Shimmer colors in your collection? Let me know in the comments and thanks for reading!
